Let’s look back on some of the highlights our Brainfood CIT students have accomplished in the first three months.
That time when… We all made our own personalized sandwiches for the My Plate Sandwich Challenge class.
That time when… We challenged ourselves to knead our own whole wheat pizza dough. Each pizza included ingredients from at least four out of the five food groups and one new ingredient that no one in the group had tried before. Man, I loved trying the jalapeno on pizza!
That time when…Our classroom made Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins to donate to Thrive for their Thanksgiving meal.
That time when…We all got together for the Holiday Celebration to celebrate all that we had accomplished with our friends and family. We feasted on pizza, cheddar biscuits with herb butter, baked french fries, three bean chili, sugar cookies, and red velvet sandwich cookies.
We are so proud of everything our students have accomplished so far! We can’t wait to see what 2018 has in store for our Cooks in Training.
